So for a few pictures of what we started with. The original kitchen was renovated, we think, in '74. When we moved in there was an ancient side by side fridge and the first Jenn-air ever made. We were able to find this fridge on Craig's list for the low, low price of a U-Haul rental.
Here is the peninsula, and the ever-modern blue dishwasher. We had just finished emptying out all the cabinets in preparation for Demolition.
The double wall oven only half worked, the basement stairs has 22" of clearance, due to the encroaching ovens, and the cutting board in the foreground had the annoying habit of falling out whenever you put more than an envelope on it. I was tempted to call this blog "The Devil Stairs" in honor of the flame red basement stairs.
Luckily this is now nothing but a memory. Next up: Demolition.
